Tony Saunders
Born into a famous music family, Tony Saunders was destined to
become one of the most respected members of the entertainment industry.
The son of famed recording artist Merl Saunders, his mother, Betty
was also a well-known music historian. Tony has always been a natural.
With his father's guidance and his mother's encouragement he studied
piano for over 13 years and was awarded a fellowship at the prestigious
San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Tony was fortunate enough
to receive his first piano lessons from the world-renowned musician
Herbie Hancock and intensive bass guitar training with the legendary
Chuck Rainey and John Kahn. When Tony was just 17, he took the
stage with his father and Jerry Garcia.

Carl Lockett
CARL LOCKETT is a great guitarist who has played with some of the
music industry's greatest talents such as CHUCK MANGIONE (on Tonight
Show), ESTHER PHILLIPS, CONFUNKSHUN. HOWARD CRAWFORD, BROOK BENTON,
JIMMY McGRIFT, BIG MAMA THORTON, THE PLATTERS, THE INK SPOTS, THE
COASTERS, THE WHISPERS, DAVID CROSBY, MERL SAUNDERS, MARIA MULDAUR,
ETTA JAMES, JIMMY SMITH and most recently LADY BIANCA and PAMELA
ROSE.
Carl had a role in the movie " PEGGY SUE MARRIED",
and per the request of Francis Ford Coppola was featured on the
soundtrack. Carl's other soundtrack credits include " The
Twilight Zone" and " Cannonball Run".
Aside from
guitar, Carl also plays drums / percussion, trumpet, and bass.
Carl recently shared his expertise as a part of this
year's Grammy in the Schools program.
Carl has played all over
the world: Finland's Pori Jazz Festival, The North Sea Jazz Festival,
The Montroix Festival, and The San
Francisco Jazz Festival.
After the success of his first CD, "All About Music",
Carl is currently back in the studio recording his second record, "Forget
Me Nots".

This group has the resume
of a who's who in music as they have all played with the greats
in business. Tony Saunders has
played
for Eric Clapton, David Crosby, Joe Sample and Chaka Kahn, is currently
producing 3 records for other artists and has completed 2 movie
soundtracks in the past year. Guitarist Carl Lockett is about to
do his second ablum and has played with Chuck Mangione, Jimmy Smith & Hank
Crawford just to name a few. Drummer Larry Vann has just released
his first record "Summer In The City". Larry has played
with the Whispers, Randy Crawford, Brian Auger & Elvin Bishop.
The
San Francisco Chronicle labeled them a best bet and declared their
music to be "the stuff dreams are made of."
